The printing engine

At home in your terminal.

The Slipbridge CLI is the part that talks to your receipt printer. It renders, queues, and delivers ESC/POS. Use it with the workspace, or print local files on its own.

Local printing needs no Slipbridge account.

slipbridge
# Preview without printing
$ slipbridge render note.md \
    --paper 80mm --output note.png

# Send a file to your printer
$ slipbridge print note.png

# Receive prints from the workspace
$ slipbridge listen
01

Print local content

Send text, Markdown, and images to a compatible ESC/POS printer over USB or the network.

02

Render before you print

Make an exact PNG preview at your paper width. Check the output without using any paper.

03

Fit your workflow

Shell scripts, local jobs, and JSON output. Connect the listener when you want workspace features.

One part of Slipbridge

The app makes the design. The CLI makes the connection.

The workspace handles templates, artwork, schedules, and history. The CLI receives the finished print and talks to the printer. Its local commands also work independently.
